I’m a novelist, book developer, and comedian with nearly 20 years of publishing experience.
Hi, I’m Sarah Rainone. I’m the author of the novel Love Will Tear Us Apart (Three Rivers Press, 2009) which Publishers Weekly called "fun and poignant" and Bookforum praised for its "great comic timing."
An improviser and comedy writer/performer, I was a founding member of the Maude team Beige (a house sketch team at the Upright Citizens Brigade) and have performed in a number of shows at the UCB including The Mixtape, The Break-Up, and This One Time. I have hosted independent storytelling and improv shows throughout New York and have given in-character performances and sat on panels at reading series, festivals, and universities all over the country.
I am a freelance book developer, ghostwriter, and editor with nearly two decades of publishing experience and currently own my own full-service editorial business where I specialize in books on business, creativity, and spirituality. I was previously an editor at Doubleday, senior editor at Harper Collins, and Editorial Director of Cheney Literary and I have worked with many influential thinkers and bestselling authors including Dan Pink, Eric Ries, Tom Peters, Adelle Waldman, Lyn Heward of Cirque du Soleil, and Preethaji and Krishnaji of O&O Academy.
In 2013, I completed my 200-hour Yoga Alliance-certified teacher training from the Shala.
