Sarah Rainone is a novelist and comedy writer/performer who lives in Brooklyn.
Sarah Rainone is the author of the novel Love Will Tear Us Apart (Three Rivers Press, 2009) which Publishers Weekly called "fun and poignant" and Bookforum praised for its "great comic timing."
An improviser and comedy writer/performer, she was a founding member of the Maude team Beige (a house sketch team at the Upright Citizens Brigade). She has performed at many storytelling shows throughout New York and has given in-character performances from her book at reading series, festivals, and universities. She has appeared in Advanced Performance shows at the Upright Citizens Brigade including "The Break-Up," "The Shock of the New" and "This One Time" and hosts a monthly show at Under St. Marks with her indie team, Carb.
Sarah is a freelance book developer, writer and editor with over a decade of publishing experience. As an editor at Doubleday, senior editor at Harper Collins, and Editorial Director of Cheney Literary, she has edited several New York Times bestsellers, and worked with many influential thinkers and acclaimed literary writers.
In 2013, she completed her 200-hour Yoga Alliance-certified teacher training from the Shala.
